Oh well...

March 7th 2012.
Well it's post Super Tuesday and the outcome for the area is not all good. Looks like Romney and Santorum made out with a good standing here in Ohio. I voted for Ron Paul in hopes that many others would follow if they truly believed in the true American standard.
Also, a 3/4% tax that has been in the books since the 80's also passed with of course a lot of scare tactics made on the citizens here in Toledo. I guess we go forward now and hope for the best even though nothing really changed around here.

Super Tuesday

Yes, I know this post is a bit late but from what I've been watching throughout the day it looks like the outcome will surprise a few people. I voted for Ron Paul and even if he doesn't get the nod from the party I would like to keep my integrity in place. Especially knowing that we might end up with Romney any how. For the many of you who voted today I would like to thank you very much for exercising you right to vote and for those of you who didn't because you just didn't feel like it can continue to do what you normally do "nothing". Can't wait to wake up tomorrow and see the results. I will have a follow up post of the outcome including the local ones.

Getting together...

First and foremost I would like to ask those of you reading to join me in sending thoughts and prayers to the families that have survived the tornadoes in the mid-west region. I know deep down that the most treasured thing in life is life. It will be hard for some of these folks to regain possessions especially family heirlooms, albums etc.. I live in Toledo, Ohio and trust me when I say that we were a bit worried of these tornadoes coming up to us. We had some really strong gusts of wind for a few hours and even with that alone we had several damaged homes and cars. Thoughts and prayers please.

Probably not a bad idea...

Most of you reading this might know that there are some cars out there that can park themselves without any assistance of a driver. Well from what I saw earlier it looks like we might have to say that parking was just the beginning for smart cars. Google has set up a Prius with many gadgets that would replace or assist a driver. This sounds good right now but let's see what further studies bring up. Check out the video and see for yourself.

5-Minute Power Boosters for the Office

5-Minute Power Boosters for the OfficeThis is one of those things that you should be doing on a regular basis. I try to do a quick workout in the morning from 8:30 to 8:45. Some simple stretches, shadow boxing and jumping jacks. I work in a warehouse and there are times that it gets really quiet back here and if I'm not alert I can find my self feeling tired and sleepy. Take a few minutes and read the article who knows maybe you can learn a few things.

MSNBC Anchor: Palin‘s Use of American Flag Could be ’Breach of Federal Law’ | The Blaze

MSNBC Anchor: Palin‘s Use of American Flag Could be ’Breach of Federal Law’ | The Blaze.
When something like this comes along you can only imagine that there will be more dumb reporting to follow. I hope that MSNBC can find better researchers to help their anchors because if this is the kind of work that is presented to the mouth pieces then I guess it's a good thing no one really cares for that network.

We must remember...

As most of you may have heard, there have been some amazing breakthroughs this past month in linking certain genes to Alzheimer's, but there is still a lot of work to be done. This year, the first of the Boomer Generation turns 65. To bring urgently-needed attention to the risk facing the Boomers, Alzheimer's Association released a groundbreaking study, Generation Alzheimer's: The Defining Disease of the Baby Boomers.

The information you read is just the beginning of what has been discovered. Please take a few minutes of your time and do some homework on the ever growing problem of Alzheimer's.

Did you say FREE?

If it's one thing I've learned in the past is that when someone mentions the word free all those around will suddenly perk up their ears and look to the source. Well I'm here to do just that. FREE, that's right FREE - I have found a site that truly has free products waiting for you to try them out. If you are the kind of shopper that I am where every purchase has to be done properly then this is the site to visit. There are hundreds of free samples from different companies where they are looking for a little feed back and some that are simply advertising a different product. If you don't like ordering online then you can receive free offers/products by mail as well. Heck, my sister is still having trouble finding the right cell phone that fulfills her every need at work and at home. I told her to visit the site and search free cell phones. She hasn't called back yet to let me know what she got but something tells me that she is looking at other offers. Maybe you're like my brother where getting free stuff is the only reason you need to visit. I went through the site earlier and found what I needed - a tire gauge kit. Look, open up a separate tab and visit the site and trust me, you will find something for either yourself or someone you know. Visit soon visit today.

Just look around...

"Live a little, live on fire" would be a great term to use if you're playing for a team but when you're shopping for your loved ones please don't follow this quote to the T - it will end up costing you more then you think.

I love the wins...

I don't know what to say but what I'm definitely going to feel is a great rush of pride flowing through my veins. Chicago has been performing quite well in the past few days. That butt kicking they did against Golden was the tip now they move on to beat Washington. Yes, I know that some of you are saying that Golden and Washington aren't really contender teams but you have to admit that both teams have a decent roster. Keep up the good work Bulls and lets bring in another victory soon. Here is a quick piece from UPI on the game -

NBA: Chicago 103, Washington 96
CHICAGO (UPI) -- Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Luol Deng produced a total of 65 points Saturday, fueling Chicago's 103-96 decision over Washington.

Rose led the way with 24 points, while Noah had 21 and Deng had 20. Noah and Deng had nine rebounds apiece in the Bulls' third win in a row.

Washington lost for the fourth time in its last five games despite getting a game-high 30 points from Gilbert Arenas. John Wall contributed 16 points and six assists for the Wizards.

Skyline -

No, I'm not talking about the street racing car type. What I'm talking about is the movie that is due to come out in a few days. Yes I know that this might be yet another attempt at taking our planet and we find a way to save ourselves but you must watch it just to see the special effects.

A must see...

Most of you know me but for those of you who don't allow me to tell you about my interests in movies. Anything that involves explosion and lots of action is pretty much what I like. The image you see above is of course the next flick that I will be watching as soon as I get a chance. Watch the clip below and you'll see why I want to watch this so bad.

Not bad at all...

Okay, while watching a show called Detroit 187 I came across an ad for Duracell. The image you see to the left is the product I'm talking about. No Duracell did not come out with a new phone or any phone for that matter. What they did come out with is much better then that. I present to you the Duracell MyGrid - from what I've read this pad charges up to three phones by simply placing the phones on the pad. I say three because I believe you can only put three on it before it becomes a bit crowded. Now, in my household there are five people - so that means five different chargers for five different phones. I strongly believe that if three of these phones are on this pad and two are traditionally plugged in then that's a good thing. Why you ask - well that means that there would be three less cords plugged in to outlets throughout the house. Check it out and let me know if you bought one by leaving a comment.

44 years ago today...

Doctor WhoFirst episode of Doctor Who Debuts on BBC (1963)
This long-running science fiction program about a mysterious time-traveling adventurer known only as "the Doctor" has become a significant part of British popular culture. Despite its featuring of low-budget special effects, it was widely recognized for creative storytelling and use of innovative music. After twenty-six seasons and a TV movie, Doctor Who recently reappeared as a new series. What machine does the Doctor use to travel through time and space?
Post a comment with the answer.
Tom BakerAlthough the program had many doctors the one I remember the most is Tom Baker. I don't know what it was about him that had me seriously focused on the program but he was definitely my favorite of the doctors. I haven't really been following the series since I was a little kid but I have read that they have had some spin offs like Torchwood that looks interesting but I really don't see myself running out and getting one just yet but I would accept it as a gift if anyone would be interested :)

Enjoy your weekend...

Are you interested in exploring the art world and all of it's forms for free? Then let me inform you about St. Augustine Artwalk. The oldest city in America is the host of such an event. Imagine yourself with your loved ones down in Florida looking for an event to attend and then you come across the usual boring "live" events on the strip. Well if you're in the area please make your way to St. Augustine and have yourself an experience like no other. This glorious event starts on Friday December 7th and Saturday December the 8th but that's not the end of it along with the first weekend of each month afterwards the old city comes alive with music and art exhibits once again. If you are the type that would enjoy the music aspect of it instead of the art then this would definitely get your body moving in a good and gleeful manner. First Friday Weekend Art Walk would be just what my wife and I would do without any hesitation. We enjoy intriguing and unique art work that many artists produce. Please, if you're vacationing in the "Sunshine State" and you happen to have some time to spare then you will not regret visiting the ole city and participate in the weekends events.

Happy Thanksgiving...

I want to wish everyone and their loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving. know that some of are probably on route to be with your family so to you I say be careful and arrive safe, for those of you who are home enjoy the day and remember that someone out there is thinking of you and wishes you to have a good holiday.

Still Adjusting...

DENVER (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson combined for 48 points Tuesday as the Denver Nuggets swept past the Chicago Bulls 112-91. Anthony tallied 26 points and Iverson added 22, while Marcus Camby added 12 points and 20 rebounds for the Nuggets, who have won six straight. Kenyon Martin contributed 13 points for Denver, which shot 50.6 percent. Rookie Joakim Noah led Chicago with 16 points, with Kirk Hinrich and rookie Thomas Garner adding 14 points apiece for the 2-8 Bulls.
After going up just 36-25 in the first quarter, the Nuggets used a 13-0 run to forge a 72-53 halftime lead and were up 94-69 after three quarters. The Bulls, who were without Luol Deng for a second straight game (sore back), never mounted a challenge in the final period.
I know that this looks bad for the Bulls but they have a really good squad. Even though Noah gave them a good effort by rippin in 16 points I am giving them a few more months before the chemistry begins to flow at a steady and dangerous pace where the name Chicago Bulls will put those opposing them in fear.
