ANT

GM-OnStar ANT
General Motors has been actively researching continuous car-to-car data communication as a way of optimizing traffic flow and crash avoidance. GM's OnStar service provides a working basis for such a system. The ANT would be the ultimate expression of this sort of technology. It would act independently but do so while in continuous communication with other vehicles around it.
Within the vehicle itself, different parts, including body panels and wheels, could act independently, as well, but in communication with one another. This way, the ANT could change its shape to suit various needs. It could change from an aerodynamic speedster, for example, to a comfortable mobile office space.
This concept although very interesting would probably work better for my wife the blogger instead of me the web surfer/blogger. Reading the article it turns out it can turn into an office, which like I said would work better for my wife because she is a political junkie and blogging is what she does for a living. I can imagine what the price tag must be for something this creative.

Four Door Porsche?

I currently own a four door Chevy Cobalt, the four door version makes it easier for me and the family. Growing up I always thought that many fast performing vehicles were only made in a two door version. Well I guess I was wrong, Porsche is set to unveil a new concept in September but it won't be available until next year which would probably make some heads turn. When I imagine a Porsche the first product that comes to mind is the 911, now the first thing that comes to mind when they are mentioned is this new sleek vehicle that will definitely have some mothers and fathers thinking twice about buying one because now they can have their kids with them while looking stylish at the same time.

The General has to wait...

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- After commanding a winning bid last week of nearly $10 million, the online auction of a 1969 Charger, owned by one of the stars of the "Dukes of Hazzard" television show, has blown a gasket.
The winning bidder, William Fisher, maintained that someone else placed the bids in his name after gaining access to his eBay account.
I remember watching the show as a kid, my first thought was damn Daisy was hot - and my second thought was how many times can that car jump and not be ruined. Well after a few years went by I read in a magazine that they needed Chargers for the series because they had gone through what they had projected was needed for the stunts. I hope that he finds another buyer for the car, if I had the money I would offer him a decent amount for it.

A new family member...

Reading today's CNN Tech section I found that GM is expanding their view on vehicles throughout the world. They have some chinese feed back on what some cars should look like. Well let me inform you of another car that I fell in love with by just looking at it. It's called the Chevy Groove. I read some of the specs of this car and found that it's something that would fit what I'm looking for. If you're interested in learning more on this vehicle visit AutoBlogGreen.com now and see for yourself what I'm talking about.
